Game tie ins for movies are nothing new, particularly for kids films where children often want everything that goes with a favorite film. One of the new movies that will be hitting theaters soon is the Boxtrolls. A new mobile game tie in with the film is now available to download for Android users.
The game is called The Boxtrolls: Slide 'N' Streak and the goal of the game is to save friends that were captured by the Red Hats. Players will get to take up to three Boxtrolls from their cavern to the streets and rooftops of Cheesebridge.
Players will slide and jump to collect as many cogs as you can and move around the environment without making too much noise. This is the official mobile game to go along with the film and it has art, music, voices, and sound effects from the movie.
The game offers four environments with 30 levels to play. There are ten different playable Boxtrolls to unlock and three can go on each mission. The controls for the game are simple tap and swipe. Players can slide and launch their Boxtrolls on slopes and find hidden tunnels with bonus cogs. The game is 70MB in size and is a free download with in-app purchases from 99 cents to $99.99.
