Snapdragon 810-powered Xiaomi Mi Note Pro ready for pre-order this May 6

No official launch or announcement from the PR guys of the company but the Snapdragon 810 variant of the Xiaomi Mi Note, aka Mi Note Pro, will soon be available. This is according to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun himself who shared the good news on his Weibo account. The Chinese executive said that the top model version of the Xiaomi Mi Note will be ready for pre-order starting May 6 in China, all ready to compete in the high-end smartphone category.

It's nice to hear that Xiaomi was able to enter the mobile industry dominated by Samsung and Apple. The brand is even popular in the United States and some other parts of the world. The Mi Note is Xiaomi's bestseller and it can rival the many premium flagship phones in the market today like the Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 edge, iPhone 6, Huawei P8, or the yet-to-be-unveiled LG G4.

To review, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro comes with an 8-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB built-in storage, a 5.7-inch display, 2K 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, ultrapixel front-facing camera, a 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS. There's also a Cat. 9 4G LTE support, a dual SIM slot, and some Hi-Fi audio chip for a better audio experience. At 3299 Yuan ($532), phone is really good. Pretty affordable for a high-end smartphone compared to other models from the other tech giants.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro also comes with a special Natural Bamboo edition. Phone was made available back in January but it's only now the Snapdragon Pro version is ready to rock gadget town. Check out the teardown treatment and see for yourself if Xiaomi Mi Note is for you.
