Stop the clocks with new Android game NOON

We don't know if it's just the masochist in us, but lately, games that are seemingly simple but increasingly frustrating and challenging have become a must have for mobile devices. The latest to join the fray is game developer Fallen Tree, and their new game NOON is out to test the patience of saints, but it will eventually be emotionally rewarding at least.

Calling it a "quick-fire test of nerves and reflexes", the objective is simple enough. There is a clock (which will eventually turn into several clocks) on your screen and you need to tap it when it strikes noon. Pretty easy right? But of course, as we've realized with games like this, nothing is ever easy. Aside from the fact that there will be multiple clocks eventually, they also become crazier, they move around, they dissolve, etc.

The increasingly difficult curve of the game will challenge your nerves of steel. There is even a warning to not throw your device at the wall, in case you get frustrated (which may become a real possibility eventually). The game is accompanied by a "cracking soundtrack" and in case you're feeling competitive, there are hi-score tables available. And if you need to boast about your high scores, you can share them on Facebook and Twitter.

For now, NOON is free to download on the Google Play Store. There are no in-app purchases but there are ads in between levels. Eventually, when the first content update arrives, to be able to play the additional modes, you would need to switch to paid mode. There is no announced price yet on how much you'd need to shell out to play more and to remove the ads as well.
