One of the much buzzed-about games that came out of E3 last year was Evolve, a monster vs hunters multiplayer game that will be coming soon to a game console (PS4, Windows, Xbox One) near you this February. But in the meantime, a companion game available on mobile platforms will help you get ready for your new adventure, and it will even help you build and train your hunters when they will eventually arrive for full gameplay.
Evolve: Hunters Quest is not that complicated, to be honest. It's like your typical match-3 game where you need to create and clear matching lines of three or more similar characters or items by swiping them around. By doing this, you "unleash devastating attacks" on the monsters as well as get points for your hunters, particularly when you get combos of cascading matches.
But what makes this game different from other match-3 games is that some of the boosts and points you get here can actually be applied to the main console game. You get Mastery Boosts the more you play Hunters Quest, and this will result in giving your hunters extra boosts as well once you start playing the main game. The companion game itself has over 100 missions that you can finish. You can even collect the new wildlife and monsters that you encounter and put them in a Bestiary.
You would need to be connected to the Internet and have a my2k account, as well as a supported copy of Evolve to use the full functionality of the game. You can download Evolve: Hunters Quest for free from the Google Play Store.
