Flat Attack charges smartphones with normal AA batteries

It can be a challenge keeping your smartphone charged if you use it a lot and aren’t near an outlet all day. There are plenty of rechargeable portable batteries out there that you can use to help keep your device topped off. The problem with those rechargeable batteries is that they will lose their charge over a few days if you use it or not.

A new portable charger for mobile devices has turned up on Kickstarter called the Flat Attack. The unique thing about this portable charger is that it uses a normal AA battery for power. Normal AA batteries can keep their charge for years without being used. That means you can keep the charger on you for years without worrying it will be dead when you need it.

The Flat Attack charger has a built in USB charger on the bottom that will fit most Android devices. Adapters are available to allow the Flat attack to charge iOS gadgets as well.

Flat Attack is on Kickstarter seeking $30,000 AUD and has raised over $11,600 AUD so far. The charger would retail for about $23 AUD with shipping expected in February.
