Humble Mobile Bundle turns its eyes towards Crescent Moon

Once in a non-blue moon, Humble Bundle churns out a non-numbered bundle that instead focuses on a particular theme or publisher. This month's bundle gathers some of the popular games from Crescent Moon Games' catalog. It's the usual setup of pay what you want, pay more if you want more, bundling system, but this time, Humble Bundle is throwing in a new mechanic into the mix, depending on how much money the campaign rakes in.

Crescent Moon games might not be up there with the top dogs in the mobile gaming industry, but it has its fair share of hit titles such as the RPG Ravensword: Shadowlands, the action platformer Shadow Blade, and the procedural (meaning randomly generated) RPG mining game Mines of Mars. You get four games, including Ravensword, for any amount you put into your bundle. But if you beat the average, you get an additional four more, including Shadow Blade and Mines of Mars.

But wait, there's more! This bundle also has that third tier, where, if you pay more than a certain amount, this time $8, you get some more games. In this tier, you will have access to the alpha versions, and later full finished versions, of two Crescent Moon titles still in development. The Deer God is a pixel art game that tackles the rather strange notion of reincarnation, where hunter becomes deer and deer becomes hunter. With Exiles: Far Colony, Crescent Moon Games switches the fantasy setting of Ravensword to a sci-fi 3D RPG, trading sword and horse for blaster rifles and mechas.

But that isn't actually the extra that Humble Bundle is doing. The aptly named "Bonus Goals" section unlocks new games available to those who pay above the average. But there's a catch. The number of games unlocked depends on the total amount that the bundle has already gathered. The first to be unlocked will be tower defense game Siegecraft Defender, which will become available when the bundle hits $100,000. At the moment, there is already around $72,000 in the bundle's account, but there are still 13 days to go so it might very well reach other goal posts as well.
