When the Xposed Framework was announced for Android Lollipop, most modules required code tweaks to be compatible with the new API level, and the famous SwipeBack module was one of them. After a period of extended silence, the module is back with Lollipop compatibility under the “SwipeBack2″ moniker.

If you're still on the fence about whether or not you'll be getting the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge as your new device. there's an app for that now that might help you decide. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Experience has one main purpose only and that is to give you a preview of what you can expect from the newest flagship from the Korean OEM and to convince you that this is indeed the next buy you're looking for.
The app lets you take a closer look into four main aspects of the smartphone: Next Level Camera, Next Level Charging, Next Level Security, and Next Level Display. The camera section shows off the smartphone's 16MP main camera and the 5MP front-facing one as well as the f/1.9 aperture which is a major difference from the usual f/2.2 aperture of Samsung's other smartphone cameras. The security part of the app talks about three tools that the new devices have: Smart Manager, Knox 2.0 and the fingerprint scanner.
Aside from the other four major sections, the app also gives a peek into the design aspect of it, even giving you a 360˚ VR experience with the look and feel of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. For the flagship device, it also gives you an Accessory catalogue, showing off the 7 cases on offer: a new Clear View cover, Clear Cover, S View Cover, Fabric S View Cover, Flip Wallet, Fabric Flip Wallet, and Protective Cover. For the S6 edge though, only the Protective Cover is available.
Of course the Samsung Galaxy S6 Experience is free to download from the Google Play Store. It is only available for devices that have a 1280×720 display and has a 1GB RAM and already running on Android 4.0 KitKat.
It was not a question really of if it would happen, it was more of when it would happen – and that day has arrived for ASUS to launch its new flagship phone the Zenfone 2 in Europe. Still buzzing from the record sales of its original Zenfone series – selling around 10 million units globally – ASUS is raring to see if people in Europe will take to the new improved flagship as well, having sold most of its units in Asia.
There will be three Zenfone 2 models out in the market in France starting March 31st, and while there is still no information on which countries will follow suit, we expect that information to be available shortly. The main version of the Zenfone 2, model number ZE551ML will be available for at a limited time offer of €299 or around USD$322. After the introductory price though, the standard retail will be €349, or USD$375.
This “flagship” model will have a whopping 4GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, powered by a 2.3Ghz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 CPU. This will have a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display, microSD card expansion, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 13MP/5MP camera combo. The 3,000mAh battery is not bad as well, and it runs on Android Lollipop with ASUS’s ZenUI on top.
There will be two other models, namely the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and the lower-end Zenfone 2 ZE500CL. They will be sold at USD$268 and USD$193 respectively. Both phones will already be LTE capable. And if you’re not really sure about the Zenfone 2, ASUS is apparently willing to give you your money back within 2 months if you’re not satisfied.

If you're the kind of person who s always concerned with making sure that you're getting the best out of what you pay for, you're probably curious as to what exact coverage your mobile carrier is actually giving you. While this data may probably be found in their websites, they don't necessarily publicize that it is there, for one reason or another. T-Mobile, which calls itself an un-carrier, is breaking the mold by announcing an "accurate" version of this coverage map.
T-Mobile Chief Technology Officer Neville Ray says that the data presented here is “pure, unfiltered customer data.” What they're giving us is not what they claim is their cell tower saturation but more on customer feedback and third-party collected data, like from Speedtest.net. This also includes T-Mobile customers that have allowed the carrier, sorry, the un-carrier, to monitor and collect their data, with regards to performance. The data on the map will update every two weeks to give you a more accurate picture.
Yes, it may look like a marketing gimmick, but T-Mobile says what they're looking for is "accuracy in reporting" which is what customers deserve, if only to see if they're getting what their money is worth. It also may make people realize that the carrier is actually faster than what they think it is. “We want the rest of the competition to do this. In the future, customers will demand greater visibility on all aspects of their service," Ray says.
The interactive map can be seen on the T-Mobile main site. It gives you coverage in 100 square meters. It also allows you to give your own feedback, if in case you feel like the data is not accurate from where you are.

Owners of Sony Xperia Z phones have only been waiting for the official Android 5.0 software update to be released. We learned about this was under development quickly after the latest Android platform was launched by Google last year. We were expecting a release last week and rollout to some units have already started. We also mentioned that more Xperia devices are receiving the Lollipop update. Unfortunately, we're not certain what will happen to non-Xperia Z phones as Sony already announced that they're not upgrading non-Xperia Z phones to Lollipop.
This week, more Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact owners should be receiving a notification about the new mobile OS version. Next week, the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet will finally receive their turn. Even the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 will also receive the improvements that come with Android 5.0--Material Design elements, more fluid animations, and enhanced lockscreen notifications among others.
Sony Mobile just posted a teaser, telling us that Android Lollipop is coming soon.
Yet-to-be-released is the sweet Lollipop version for the classic Xperia Z. We have no information on the exact release date but at least we know it's arriving. This is welcome news for anyone who owns a classic Xperia Z. Moreover, on Twitter, Sony Mobile News mentioned that the software update for the Z1 compact will be released the same time as the Z1 and Z Ultra and that Lollipop for Xperia Z2 will roll out next week.
Parents, especially new ones, can always be found sharing photos of their child or children on social networks. Some even give monthly or weekly photo updates to show off how cute their progeny are, especially to relatives or loved ones that are far away and can only see the kids online. But sometimes, the photos are digitally scattered so it's hard to keep track of them. The largest network of them all. Facebook, is now giving you a much more organized way of sharing your children's photos with their new Scrapbook feature.
On the Family and Relationships tab on your About section, you can now see an option to create a scrapbook. If you already have a child there on your profile, you just need to click Add Scrapbook. And if your child is too young to have their own FB account, just create a scrapbook, choose the name for it, and choose the tag that you'll be adding to pictures you'll be uploading from now on. You can also choose your partner to co-own the scrapbook with you and only you and he/she will be able to choose which photos to put the special tag on to include in the scrapbook.
The next few feature rollouts would also be useful. So that you won't always flood your timeline with pictures of your kids (not everyone appreciates their pictures, no matter how cute they are), you can invite people whom you know would be interested in your child's progress, to subscribe to the Scrapbook directly. Or you can also choose specific photos which you want to share with your parents, other relatives, or friends.
This is a Facebook feature that comes from the personal insights of some of the developers and it is obviously a labor of love that will benefit a lot of parents who want to organize the photos of their kids as they slowly grow up. This should be available on your Facebook accounts now, but if it isn't yet, just wait for the gradual rollout to reach you.
