Huawei's Android Wear Watch Is Handsome, But Still Too Bulky

Huawei is launching not one but three wearables this year at Mobile World Congress, and the new Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch is the most interesting of the trio. The Huawei Watch is nice but also, well, just another Android Wear watch, and to me it's as bulky as almost every other smartwatch out there—with a couple interesting ideas scattered along the way.

Wake up to your favorite music with Radio Alarm Clock

The beloved Internet sentiment "the struggle is real" is very very real for people who have a hard time waking up in the mornings (or when they're supposed to). Countless social media posts have been written about the battle between sleepy person and their alarm clock. Numerous tips and tricks have been shared on how to beat it, live with it, obey it. A new app for Android devices will help you with this struggle by letting you wake up to your choice of sounds.

Radio Alarm Clock, as you may surmise from its name, is an app that promises to get you out of bed to the music or sounds that you actually like. Whether it is your favorite Internet radio station or actual mp3s from your smartphone, you will be serenaded by your favorite song or you can choose the most annoying music so that you'll get out of bed quicker just to kill your alarm. But if it is your favorite song or genre you're waking up to, with just one swipe, your phone can continue playing the music.

The app also has customizable smart motion controls. You can choose what it will do when you flip, shake or lift it. You can either snooze the alarm (which we all do A LOT admit it), dismiss it and wake up (or not), or just let it go to silent so your beauty sleep will not be disturbed (but sorry, you'll be late for work or school). The developer has also said this app was designed to be simple, minimalist and fast, with the function to just be a pleasant (or unpleasant, if that's what gets you out of bed) alarm clock.

There is a free version of Radio Alarm Clock on the Google Play Store, but of course it has limitations. However, the developer says it will always be ad-free (but it has no control over ads of some radio stations). If you want the full version, you just need to make a one-time in-app payment of $1.99. Thanks Michael for the tip!
