Packed with an intuitive interface and a wide spread of features, the DJ app has you bumping electronic dance mixes in real-time making it sound like you own the club.

If you’re an audiophile, you’ve probably looked into how DJ’s really spin their tracks to produce all those different samples and mash them all together. Groovemaker 2 cures your curiosity by providing users with presets of loops organized as song packs. You can spin different musical styles such as: House, Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Techno, Trance, Electro, Drum and Bass, Reggae, Rock and more. Making music can take time, dedication, and a lot of expensive equipment. Groovmaker 2 eliminates some of those aspects by making it simple with touching buttons on a screen. There’s no more hassle of lugging around heavy equipment or setting up stage before playing. The DJ app is now available to Android devices that operate on Android 4.4 KitKat and higher.

The DJ app has worked in various features making editing more simplistic. If you’re just picking up the lifestyle of creating music, this app could be what you're looking for. GrooveMake 2 is available now for Android on the Google Play Store for $9.99 with a free version also available. Within the free version only 1 DJ effect is given, only 189 loops are available and 3 songs made to remix, whereas the full version gives you 10 DJ effects, 441 loops and 7 songs. There are also in-app purchases that give you more DJ effects, available in both versions.

Create your own levels in Adventure Time Game Wizard

There are animated series that are created specifically for children. Then there are those that are really for adults. Then of course there are those that have cross-over appeal for both segments. Adventure Time is one such show, and their new Android game also has that kind of vibe, especially as you can create your own levels aside from the already existing ones.

If you're a fan of Finn and Jake, this game is mostly about them as they face a villain that will make you quake in your boots: the Doodle Wizard! Fight epic battles in Grasslands, Candy Kingdom, Ice Kingdom, etc. either in Adventure Mode or as you create your own challenges, obstacles, and villains. Aside from the two leads, the game also features BMO, Ice King, and Flame Princess. It also features original voice-overs from Finn, Jake, Ice King, Princess Bubblegum and guess who's playing the Doodle Wizard? It's none other than Weird Al Yankovic!

But probably the biggest draw of the game (aside from Weird Al of course) would be the ability to create your own levels using Doodle Wizard's secret glyph language. You can either use the tools in the app to create the levels or the more hipster way would be to draw the games on graph paper and then scan them onto the game. You can also share these self-created levels with the rest of the world in the Arcade. Well that's what it says on their GPS stage but we haven't been able to try it out yet.

Of course, as we expect from branded games like this, they are rarely free (but oftentimes, worth it right?) You can download Adventure Time Game Wizard from the Google Play Store for $4.99, with no in-app purchases necessary.

Last chance to buy Google Glass from Google

An era, short as it was, is coming to a close. At the end of the day, Google Glass will be no more. At least the Google Glass that is being offered on Google Play Store. It also marks the formal end of Google Glass' Explorer program, which means that the smart eyepiece as we know it is, for all intents ans purposes, practically dead. Of course, Google officially isn't calling it quits on the idea and simply calls this a "graduation" of the device.

Whether or not that finally materializes into a retail device is something left to be seen. The slow push by Google itself has disheartened many former believers, leading to the stagnation of the software ecosystem revolving around Glass. The hardware, on the other hand, has long been stale, with only one major update in Google Glass' lifetime. Perhaps naysayers were correct about this particular wearable, but there are others, like Sony's SmartEyeglass Attach!, that are willing to take up the cause, albeit in a slightly different form.

That said, Google Glass will continue to live on for some time, and that's not only figuratively speaking. Although it will officially be unavailable from Google, there have been a couple of resellers of the smart eyewear already for quite some time. Existing apps will also continue to exist, though new apps are not to be expected, nor are updates and new features. That, of course, doesn't count unofficial apps that might pop up here and there from die hard fans.

For now, though, you can still get this rather expensive piece of history before the doors close. But even with its dying breath, a pair of Google Glass will still cost your $1,500 and you still have to meet the same geographical requirements as before, which means you'll have to either be in the US or in the UK.

Samsung hires former Jony Ive design studio head

Samsung has turned a new coin, in a sense, to look for a new design for their upcoming smartphone collection. They'll be doing this by bringing in a man who happened to be former CEO of Tangerine, the London-based design company that at one time employed Apple’s design leader Jony Ive. Lee Don-tae, is now reporting to Samsung Electronics President Toon Boo-keun and will be engaging with the company’s Design Management Center.

Don-tae has collaborated in the past with companies like LG, Toyota, and British Airways. As Samsung nabs the new designer their hope will likely be to turn things around with a renewed focus on design. Lee would be leading the hardware design team for Samsung mobile products, says a Samsung official who told Korea JoongAng Daily. After release of the Galaxy S5, Samsung had received some not so warming reviews, forcing the company to make changes within the design staff, seen last May.

Samsung is in the weeds as Apple (inside the US) and Xiaomi (in China) are dominating the competition slowly pushing the Korean company out - seeing profits drop 37% for the holiday quarter 2014. This year, Samsung is reported seeing the slack and fixing the problem by taking on a new approach to mobile design. Samsung has recently been rumored to be working with new metal chassis, cutting out TouchWiz, and working with new screen technology (think Galaxy Note Edge) to bring themselves back to the front of the pack.

With rumors that suggest Samsung products will be cutting out unnecessary software add-ons and Don-tae taking over the design team, we can only hope that the next Galaxy S smartphone will have a fresh new look and feel to it.

Wikipedia app on Android the newest Material Design recipient

Searching for any type of information on the internet, whether it's from Yahoo, Bing, or Google - almost always provides you a link to Wikipedia. Although Wikipeda is not considered a credible website to use as a research source, the site does provide large amounts of information that can be seen as pretty much accurate and spot on with background and history on the searched topic. This week the Wikipedia app on Android received more than a beautiful facelift, and it’s looking good.

The Wiki app for Android was released back in February 2012, and hasn’t seen too many major updates since. Today is a time for change - the Wiki app for Android has received some Material Design love with new usability features. The updated app features images more prominently with parallax scrolling. Articles now feature a contextual-image and description at the header. Going hand-in-hand is an image viewer which allows you to tap an image to display as a larger pop-up panel - tapping again minimizes the image.

The new update includes the “read more” feature - which provides you three related pages to the searched topic. The search feature has been improved and includes a list of recently searched topics, but still retains a dull gray search bar.

The new updated app is staying current with material design influences and animations. Improving the app’s usability makes it look and feel more modern.
