Gresso Regal Black Edition made from titanium packs 5.0-inch screen

Gresso has been making very expensive smartphones for years now and the company has added another new model to its high-end line. The smartphone is called the Gresso Regal Black Edition. The skeleton of the smartphone is titanium that is coated with black PVD and then features inserts made of shiny gold.

The good news with this Gresso device is that it actually packs some nice hardware inside. Typically, you are only paying for the looks of the Gresso device. The Regal Black Edition has a 5-inch screen and full HD resolution. It has 2GB of RAM and internal storage is 32GB.

The rear camera has 13MP resolution while the front is a 5MP snapper. One of the things this phone lacks is support for LTE. In this day and age, a device without LTE is annoying for most users. It's unclear what processor is used, but it is a 1.5GHz quad-core unit.

The PVD coating over the Grade 5 titanium means that the case will resist scratches and is strong but light. The 18K gold insert can be had in yellow or white gold and has the Gresso name and the number of the device. Only 999 will be made at a price starting at $3000 with no insert and no PVD coating. The R1 and R3 models start at $5,000 with PVD and inserts.

Exiles dares you to make your escape from an “alien” world

Science fiction and role-playing games fans, listen up. Crescent Moon, the creators of Ravensworld: Shadowland brings you a new Android game that is set in a world where you have to escape from colonizers with a corrupt government (not too far fetched from the present day yes?) out to stop you. Welcome to the world of Exiles.

The game is set in the future on a colony in a distant planet, where the government has learned to enslave and isolate its people with a lethal virus that will eventually wipe out the planet. Your goal as one of the Elite Enforcers is to uncover the plot to enslave the rest of the world through alien forces and mecha weapons. You get to go on missions to fight these enemies, using a large arsenal of weapons of course.

The world you're moving in is full of "alien hives, underground temples, and caves" and has a lot of interior locales in the massive colony you're in. You get to choose your character from among three different classes, and you have the option of playing a male or female (regardless if you're actually male or female). You get to ride mechs and hoverbikes to make your traveling easy, and upgrade your weapons to make the killing more convenient as well.

The alpha version of this game was originally part of a Humble Bundle from Crescent Moon, a few weeks ago, and now you can enjoy it in its full release glory. You can get Exiles from the Google Play Store for $6.99. It's a bit more expensive than most games, but there are no in-app purchases necessary anymore.

Monster Dash returns: more monsters, weapons, better Barry

The Barry Steakfries Trilogy, which consists of Jetpack Joyride, Age of Zombies, and Monster Dash, have long been a cure for boredom and also a cause of unproductivity. Monster Dash is now finally available on Android and has been upgraded with even more monsters to kill, better weapons to kill them with, and a more dashing Barry to kill them all.

Monster Dash is a side-scrolling, running adventure game where your only purpose in that digital life is to kill as many monsters as you can, while getting all the gold that they are carrying. The gold you get is then used to upgrade Barry as the game progresses along. You get to chase them, jumping through chasms and portals, across six different worlds, which have their own "classic monster" themes like vampires, mummies, etc.

You get to use various weapons and vehicles to help you in killing all the monsters you come across. Get weapons like The Pacifier, Rocket Launcher, Mr. Zappy and then all-terrain rides like the HOG and Machine Gun Jetpack. Daily events also give you the chance to take on challenges and get prizes to help you in playing the main game. In terms of its look and graphics, developer HalfBrick Studios is consistent enough with its blockish cartoon-type of imagery.

You can get Monster Dash from the Google Play Store for only $0.99. There are several in-app purchases available, including the classic monster chasers from Ghostbusters, which will set you back another $1.99. But hey, it's a classic and nostalgia for it is pretty high, so you might want to add it to your Monster Dash content.

Leak shows an insanely powerful Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra

Of course, we can say right off the bat that as with all leaks, it will be difficult to verify if this is indeed true – that is the nature of all leaks. But the purported specs of the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra has just leaked and it’s showing us an insanely robust tablet, something that would blow away current competition. But is it in the “too good to be true” category?

Chinese site PadNews has the screen of the new Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra at 12.9 inches. For comparison, that’s even larger than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Samsung’s biggest Galaxy Pro model. The leak says that it will be a 3840x2400 Triluminos screen, that’s already 4K resolution, but not just. It will have a pixel count higher than the Retina screen of the newest MacBook Pro, and promptly beats most of the 4K laptop screens out there.

xpera_z4_tablet_leak

But if you think that the size of the rumored tablet is all there is, you’re in for a ride. It will be powered by an octa-core, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, along with a whopping 6GB of RAM. It’s purportedly sporting 64GB of internal storage, an HDMI-out port, support for PS4 Remote Play (one would hope that with specs like this, it would be) and Sony’s Hi-Res Audio file format.

With specs like that, you’d hope it will have a kickass battery – and at least the list proves it could have it, a 12,100mAh battery never before seen on devices of this class. So is it true? Again, your guess is as good as ours. Remember that Sony has an event planned in January at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas, where the Xperia Z4 line is rumored to be launched. Our advice, don’t get your hopes up too much, ok?

Become a taekwondo master in Taekwondo Game for Android

If you've ever dreamt of being a taekwondo expert but had neither the skills nor the patience to actually learn it, now you can live out your dreams through a mobile game. Taekwondo Game is simply that: an Android game that lets you compete against computer experts or even real players from around the world, based on real-life rules and physics from the sport itself.

The developer says that it is actually the first ever taekwondo mobile game but it is not just a haphazard kind of game. It is actually based on the motion-capture of real-life professional players making the movements and animations mimic that of actual taekwondo experts. It also follows the Olympic rules in terms of scoring and ranking. Even the sound effects are realistic enough since it was recorded in a real taekwondo place which is called a dojang. You can choose to play against bots or actual people in the Global Tournament.

The cross platform multi-player game is set in three different environments: Korea, Mexico, and Japan. Before you even enter the tournament, you can actually train and practice in a dojang, where you can learn both precision and timing. The controls and commands are not that complicated, and if you're a heavy mobile games user, it should be easy enough for you to determine.

If you're a new player who's interested in "the way of the foot and the hand" or if you're really into the sport and would like to also digitally master it, this game is a pretty nifty addition to your smartphone or tablet. You can get Taekwondo Game for free from the Google Play Store.

Google Invites Selected Devs to Buy Project Tango Development Kit

project_tango

Just about a month ago, the curious Project Tango development kit was officially listed as available in the Google Play Store. To much confusion however, it wasn’t available for purchase unless you registered for the device development kit at I/O. And if you did register, you were able to purchase the kit for a hefty price of $1,024 US. Well, now it looks like Google’s opening the gates just a little bit by inviting selected developers to purchase the kit.

The email makes it clear that the development kit is available only in limited quantities and only for the selected “professional developers” to whom the emails are addressed to. In other words, this kit is designed only for professional developers and not for consumers. There doesn’t seem to be any changes on the Play Store listing, as it still shows up as unavailable for purchase, indicating that the email addresses of the invitees have probably been whitelisted.

The full email can be read below:
