Sonos Controller for Android gets updated to 5.3

Sonos has always been one of the top music apps on Google Play Store and its developer has just updated it to version 5.3. The Sonos app for phones and tablets has gotten even better, faster, and easier to use, thanks to more UX improvements, bug fixes, and an improved design. This recent update was actually released as beta a few weeks ago but it's now ready for a full launch. Main features include changes to moving music around your home plus three taps to party mode, track progression bar now more prominent, and new swipe gestures to control music playback.

According to Sonos, room control is made simpler so using the app is less complicated. The tablet version of the app already received an enhanced design. If you use the Sonos app during parties and events, you'll notice a new drop-down menu located at the top center. Create a playlist of your favorite songs to play automatically. And with only a few taps, you can group or ungroup rooms. Tap on the screen three times to quickly switch to party mode.

While playing a song and you want to simply browse your list, swipe down on the screen. Swipe right from the left to see all music sources. These new gestures allow easy retracing of your steps for a more convenient music listening experience. Or if you want to repeat a certain part of a song, drag left or right the track progressions bar you see on the Now Playing screen. You'll see this bar now located below the album art.

The updated Sonos Controller brings faster access to all of your songs from different sources and a simple room control. Sonos continues to lead the multi-room speaker with such updates. The 5.3 version is expected to benefit over a million of Sonos users.
