SimCity BuildIt update brings city-building to Tokyo

In the first major update since it started on Android devices, the city-building game SimCity BuildIt now has a new location for you to explore as you create and maintain your very own city. If you've always been fascinated with Tokyo (not just the San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6 but the actual Tokyo, well virtually), then now is your chance to become mayor of this crazy town.

As you try and build Tokyo Town into your dream city (that will earn you lots of money as well), you get several new kinds of buildings to choose from. You now have an International Airport so you can transport cargo in and out of your city and earn some items as well. The Tokyo Town Buildings range from traditional Japanese houses to high-rise buildings the city is famous for. You can also build the Himeji Castle landmark once you've gathered enough points and resources. You can also now get hot air balloons and blimps around your city (again, reminiscent of San Franscokyo!)

The update also now brings you a better Global HQ so that the mayor (that's you!) will find it easier to locate and purchase the items needed for your city-building needs. You also get a new Mailbox so you can check regularly if you have new rewards, gifts, and all the latest updates and relevant game news.

The update should be rolling out in the next few hours to your Android devices. If you don't have SimCity BuildIt yet, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store. Just be careful since there are some in-app purchases, and if you're familiar with Sim City addiction, then you know of the temptation.
