Word games are always fun. Well, if you're the type who likes to play around with letters, spellings, and all the other things word smiths enjoy. But do you know what can make it even more fun? If your word forming talent is actually the only thing keeping several people from impending doom! This is the basic premise of Highrise: Word Heroes, where the words you form can actually save lives, even if they are pixelized, digital ones.
The basic premise of the game is that an earthquake has hit and the people in a 90-floor high-rise tower need to escape. Our main character is Seb, who is on his first day at work, and is suddenly hit with amnesia. He may not have his memories, but he does know he needs to get out of the building. Along the way, he will meet several weird characters who are also trying to escape: there's a secretary, a lawyer, a chimpanzee, a robot, and you get the point. How does the word play come in? You will be presented with a grid of letters and various obstacles, and if you solve them, you clear a path for our escapees.
The game has 90+ levels (representing the building's number of floors) and 60+ challenges for you to solve. There are also 12 themed bonus levels (for Android devices only). The eccentric characters that you meet along the way can also sometimes help you as they have some bonus skills, like swapping adjacent tiles or showing you words on the game board.
