If before 128 GB tablets were already the best you could expect in terms of storage for that line of devices, it seems now with all the numerous apps, pictures, videos, and other media files, people are looking for even more space. Archos is bringing some storage innovations in the market, announcing the arrival of the first 256 GB tablet in the market and also introducing the idea of fusion storage to increase space on your device.
Archos is bringing a whole new range of tablets with their new Magnus line. The Archus 94 Magnus is the first tablet to have a 256 GB full storage while the Archos 101 Magnus Plus is a little more lightweight at 128 GB, but still better than the 64 GB ones we've seen around. They both have a Cortex A17 quad-core processor that helps bring a full HD experience, whether you're watching a movie or TV show, playing a game, or running an app with great graphics.
Meanwhile, the French OEM is also introducing the Archos Fusion Storage, which will "seamlessly" combine your device's internal storage and the memory of a microSD card, so you won't worry too much about always leaving enough space on your tablet for it to run properly. When you activate the the Fusion Storage on your device, it will automatically migrate data and optimize your memory balance so that you can have more space to install new apps or to add more media files.
The Archos Fusion Storage will already be built in the new tablets and smartphones they're launching, including the Magnus line. It will also be installed OTA on selected existing models. Meanwhile, the Archos 94 Magnus and the Archos 101 Magnus Plus will be available this April for around $380, with the former available exclusively at the Archos online store. They also have the Archos 101 Magnus, their entry-level tablet with 64 GB of internal storage available for around $198.
