Wouldn't it be so cool if you could walk into a restaurant, order whatever food you like, then just leave without even bringing out your credit card or your phone? Well, normally you wouldn't do that really, unless you want to get carted off to restaurant jail (or actual jail) or something. But now, it's actually possible, if you have the new Reserve app, out now for Android devices.
No, it's not a magic genie that will grant your every culinary wish, but it calls itself a "personal dining concierge" which brings you a seamless dining experience, from reservation up to payment of your bill. Using the app, you can reserve a table from any of their partner restaurants. Or if you don't have an idea as to where you should eat, just input the date and time, the number of your party and the app will give you options as to where tables are available. You can even reserve a month in advance through the app.
The app also guarantees seamless service before, during and after meals or at least as far as it's concerned in terms of their digital service. After you've eaten, Reserve will take care of your bill, through the credit card that is on file with the app. So no need to whip out your smartphone or credit card before you leave. And if you want to leave a tip for your server (as you should!), they can also take care of it with a concierge fee.
They are currently partnered with over 100 restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, and San Francisco. If this thing clicks, they will probably expand to more cities and get more partner restaurants. You can download Reserve from the Google Play Store for free.
