Medieval Wars tests your strategic mind in the Middle Ages

HeroCraft, makers of the Strategy & Tactics series, is building upon their relative success with the game series by releasing a 3rd game in the Strategy & Tactics mold called “Medieval Wars”. No prizes for guessing the time period of the game, as it is obviously set in medieval Europe.

As players of the game, you will be asked to lead the armies of England and France, with a nod to the armies of the Crusades as well, in three in-game campaigns. If you’ve played the Strategy & Tactics series before, then the gameplay is very much similar. For those not familiar, the game takes some ideas from the famous strategy board game Risk – where you need to knock out other armies to take over regions.

If you’re expecting explosions or amazing graphics, this is not the game for you. The game is built on pure strategy on hand drawn maps, but it is far from boring if you like these kinds of games. You will need to make decisions based on the capabilities of your armies. Should you divide and conquer or keep your forces together?

The game will highlight the more popular battles in medieval Europe, including the Norman Invasion, the Crusades, the Hundred Years’ War, the Reconquista, and the War of the Roses among others. For USD$2.99, you can download the premium game from the Google Play Store (check link below) which will give you historical campaigns, independent historical scenarios, and whole lot more.
