The ‘Cosmic Flow’ animation and theme were first introduced with the 2012 line of Xperia devices from Sony. They were undoubtedly quite visually striking, particularly the multicolored live wallpapers. And although Sony has moved onto the more reserved and mild ‘Experience Flow’ theme as seen on their newer devices such as the Xperia Z3, it retains the central motif of flowing lines and curves. If you’re a big fan of the theme and would rather it to appear throughout your Xperia Z1, you may want to check out the Cosmic Flow Animation Background mod.
Developed by XDA Senior Member kalel2012, the mod allows you to have the ‘experience flow’ animation seen in the boot animation and live wallpapers appear in the background of your system apps, such as the settings, phonebook, and the pull-down notification area. The mod was based on framework version 157, but should also work with 155 and 108. It can be installed by simply flashing the provided ZIP package through a custom recovery, and if you want to revert the effects, there’s a flashable ZIP package for that too.
