XOO Belt charges your phone and keeps your pants up

Keeping your smartphone charged up and working when you are on the go a lot can be a challenge. There are plenty of battery cases and external batteries on the market, and most of them take up space in your bag that you might not have. A new charger system has debuted that turns the charger into a wearable device you can take with you anywhere.

The device is called the XOO Belt and it looks much like any old belt you might buy to help keep your pants up. The designers of the XOO Belt say that it looks, feels, and weighs about the same as a really nice belt. It has a 2100 mAh battery hidden inside and the ability to charge just about any mobile device you can think of.

The battery is a Lithium Ceramic Polymer unit that is flexible, safe, and weather resistant. On the inside of the belt is a short charge cable and the idea is that you can plug the cable into your device and slip your device into your pocket for charging.

The battery consists of six overlapping layers of flexible battery giving 1300mAh of power alone. Each of the buckles also has 800mAh for a total of 2100mAh of power. The project is on Indiegogo seeking $50,000 and has raised over $27,000 so far with 30 days left to go. A belt will cost you $155 with delivery expected in July 2015.
