Amazon's Fire TV device has been updated bringing the latest software version to 51.1.4.0_user_514006420. The new update brings with it a lot of very nice features that will make owners of the set top box very happy. One of the new features is improved gaming with tablet games.
More tablet games can now be played on the Fire TV using the Fire Game Controller. Modified gaming controls allow more compatibility with existing Android games. One of the big features in the update is guest display mirroring. This allows guests in your home to use the Fire phone, Fire HDX tablet, or Android device running Jelly Bean or higher to shoot their display to the Fire TV.
The device doesn't need to be registered on the same Amazon account as the Fire TV. Amazon has also now enabled owners of the Fire TV who live in the US to use the device in the UK while traveling and vice versa.
Software updates download automatically when the Fire TV is connected to a wireless network. Owners can check if they have received the update by going into settings-system-about. The new update is available right now.
