Just a week to go before it officially unveils its next flagship and LG is getting its ducks in a row. The company has officially put up the product page for the LG G3 D855, with no other purpose than to tease us.
That's because there's practically nothing there except LG's official teaser and invitation for the LG G3 reveal. Naturally, LG is keeping a tight lid over the device, but thanks numerous leaks, some of which are practically confirmed by that teaser, we pretty much have a complete picture of what the LG G3 might be, barring some surprises, pleasant or otherwise, coming from LG.
The most obvious, because most visible, aspects are the redesigned rear control buttons and the glossy brushed metal finish, also on the rear. We're still unsure what kind of sensor sits beside the camera, with some speculating on a laser auto-focus mechanism. Flipping the phone over, we come to one of the most expected features of the LG G3, a 5.5-inch WQHD display that is said to have Samsung shaking at the knees. Deep inside, we're expecting to find the usual high-end specs consisting of a Snapdragon 801 and a copious amount of RAM. Hopefully, the rumors of a replaceable battery will also come to pass.
LG might be keeping things under wraps, but others aren't quite falling in line. Over at the FCC, the LG G3 meant for the US market has been spotted, this time bearing the model number D850. The difference in numbers has lead to speculation that this will be one that will be available from AT&T. Meanwhile, online retailers are spilling the beans on what may be the price tags for the LG G3. These range from 613€ for a 16 GB model at the very lowest, while on the opposite end one lists the 32 GB model at 729€. Roughly converted, that means a price range between $840 to $1,000 for the full retail price. Definitely not the figures you'd want to see.
