HTC One Max leak suggests Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5

The latest HTC One Max leak has surfaced. This one is coming out of China and has details showing the One Max will arrive running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense v5.5. The specs were shared on the Chinese language mobile.3g.cn and aside from the regular rundown, they also suggest the One Max will not have the fingerprint scanner as was previously rumored.

First things first though, the specs for this particular model are for China Mobile. With that clarification being made, the spec sheet lists the handset as having TD-LTE connectivity along with a 5.9-inch (1920 x 1080) FHD display, quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. There was also mention of a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera and UltraPixel camera on the back.

Those who have been following along with the HTC One Max leaks will likely find most of that familiar. Otherwise, that fingerprint scanner that was recently pictured on the backside of the handset did not appear on this spec list. Granted that does not guarantee that it will not be included at launch, but for now it is looking like that was a rumor that has been proven otherwise.

Nonetheless, it does leave some question as to what that could have been on the back of the One Max in the image that leaked earlier in the month. That image arrived on August 19th and had the One Max sitting alongside the One Mini and One. There was also a bit of a blur on that image. While this can likely be considered speculation, that blur was sitting in a place where one could expect a stylus to be housed.

Of course, we do have to remember that HTC is likely to come forward with an announcement sooner rather than later. IFA 2013 kicks off in early-September and we already have announcement events confirmed from others such as Sony and Samsung.
